Serving the septic and drain field industry since 1937, the DeJonghe family brings generations of trusted experience. DeJonghe Sanitation is the oldest sanitation company in Lenawee County and was issued the county’s first septage license.

In 1962, Eric’s grandfather purchased the business from his father and continued operating it for nearly five decades, retiring in 2009 after a lifetime of septic tank and drain field installations. Eric grew up immersed in the family business, spending his childhood riding in, operating heavy machinery, and learning firsthand how to install and service drain fields and septic systems alongside his grandfather.

Today, as owner of DeJonghe Septic and Excavation, Eric is proud to carry on his family’s multi‑generation legacy. He is deeply committed to providing quality workmanship while also taking the time to educate customers so they can make informed decisions about their systems.
